Please use an alias (secret identity) as your Username and please make sure this alias is not connected to you in any way in the real world. This is so you can speak your mind freely without pressure from evil mobs and this is so you, and anyone connected to you (your family, friends, partner, etc.) can be protected from retaliation by evil mobs. Thank you.
Name Rules and Tips
Rules:
Minimal character count is 4. Maximum characters count is 22.
Letter Avatars are auto assigned to each member. Your letter Avatar is the first letter of your name. (Example: the name Andrew Thompson will have the Letter A as its Letter Avatar. For this reason, members may wish to name themselves accordingly. (For Example: they may not want to name themselves The Monster if they want their Letter Avatar to be M because their letter Avatar will be T in that case). If your name begins with a number, a number Avatar will be assigned, 4321 Mike would be 4. 88 planes will be 8.
Spaces are allowed and each space is considered a character. (Example: The name Go Go is five characters total).
Numbers are allowed. Names can even begin with numbers. (Example: The name 99 Guns is allowed).
Periods, hyphens, apostrophes, and underscores are allowed. (Examples: J. Smith (period), A.J. Smith (periods), Jamie-lynn Davidson (hyphen), Kelly’s Cat (apostrophe), Major_Pain (underscore).
No double or multiple (back-to-back) spacing, periods, hyphens, apostrophes, or underscores. (Examples: Taylor.Jones (with one period) is allowed. Taylor..Jones (with two periods back-to-back) is not allowed. George_Steel (with one underscore) is allowed. George_ Steel and George_-Steel (with an underscore that followed immediately by either a space or a hyphen) is not allowed.
Names cannot begin and end with a special character (period, hyphen, apostrophe, or underscore) or with a space. (Example: The Name Jeff is fine while the names _Jeff and Jeff_ are not allowed).
No revolting or vulgar names, please, because this is a civilized community. (Examples: Asswipe (not allowed), Evil Fuck (not allowed). Admins and mods will forcibly change your name or ban you for this.
Once you create your name, you will not be able to edit or change it. Only Administrators and Moderators can edit or change name. If you want your name changed, you will have to request for an Administrator or Moderator to do this. Members will not be allowed to change their name more than once or twice every several years so additional requests will be rejected. Therefore, make sure you choose your name wisely.
All name rules necessarily will not be programed automatically into the system (this is a new website) but Administrators and Moderates will eventually rectify any violations after name is created. New name rules may also be added or edited later. Thank you.
Tips:
Username should be an alias (secret identity) to protect your real identity and so you can say what you want without fear of evil mob retaliation.
Members should ideally strive to use a space for two separate words first though before needlessly ignoring the space or using numbers or using the four special characters (periods, hyphens, apostrophes, underscores). Best Example: A person should first see if the name Jack Frost is available before making the name JackFrost (with no space), Jack Frost9 (with a number) or Jack.Frost (with a period), or Jack_Frost (with an underscore). There are certain exceptions to this rule however, like for reasons of symmetry. For example, if the name Ron Smith Jenkins isn’t available but Ron_Smith Jenkins (with one underscore) is available, but the user still might want to make Ron_Smith_Jenkins (with two underscores) for the purposes of name symmetry.
Proper Capitalization is recommended. It is better for a Username to be John Smith, rather than john smith (all lower case) or JOHN SMITH (all upper case, caps lock). Lower case for first letter of a word can be used when appropriate. Examples: Peter the Great, King of Miami. First letter of Username should almost always be capitalized. Example: The Philosopher, Of Mice and Men.
It is most often better to have a name that is easy to address. (Example: the Usernames LL6XC134 and 986SKV are weird and odd to address unlike the names Richard85 or Walter Maddox or Devastator9000. The latter three are far easier to address personally.
Email Rules and Tips
Email must be valid. If email is not valid, you will lose Username since you cannot activate your account. Activation Link is sent to the email you provide; this is why it must be valid, as you must have access to the email to hit the link to activate your account.
If you do not see email with Account Activation Link, check your spam folder. If you still do not see it after 30 mins or so after you register, contact us so we can resend the link.
Mistyping (misspelling) email will see you lose username, that is why it is re-confirmed, meaning you have the enter it twice when you register. Still, if a mistake is made, contact us to request to fix.
Email, ideally, should be alias too. For, example, if your real name is Kevin Walker, you probably should not register with the email kevinwalker@gmail.com. You also should not register any email that is tied to you in the real world, such as using a business-government email where you work.
Email will not be visible to other members (to protect identity) but, since private messaging between members is off-site (done through your email service provider), once a member messages you and you message them back, your email will then be visible to that member. This is why an alias email is still recommended. Also, what if we get hacked and hackers see all emails? Therefore, it is still wise to use alias email.
If you want to change email, have to contact staff on the Contact Us Page.
